Your new Comerica Financial Advisors experience, powered by Ameriprise Financial, began on Nov. 6, 2023.

There are a few things you can do to stay informed about your new Comerica Financial Advisors experience:

  • Keep an eye out for email communications and letters with important information. 
  • Contact your Financial Advisor with questions - they are the best resource
  • Check this FAQ page often

Your relationship with your Financial Advisor(s) remains the same, they will be in the same office continuing to provide the personalized service that you have come to know and expect. The same is true for any other relationships you may have with Comerica Bank – your relationships, contacts and accounts will not change. If at any time you have questions, you can reach out to your Financial Advisor, as always, they are happy to help.

Your Financial Advisor remains the same before, during and after this transitions and are here to help answer your questions.

Communications

You will receive communications from Comerica Financial Advisors, powered by Ameriprise Financial.

You may also receive some communications from Ameriprise Financial. Please take a moment to read through when you receive them.

Set up your communications preferences on the secure site. This is a great way to make sure you get communications the way you want. It’s easy to sign up for e-delivery of documents which are archived and stored securely on your site and can help slow the volume of mail you’ll receive during this transition.

Click on Profile in upper right corner next to your name > Choose Communications Preferences> Choose mail or online delivery.

Leading up to the transition and after you will receive communications from Comerica Financial Advisors, powered by Ameriprise Financial and some communications may be from Ameriprise Financial.

Statements

You’ll receive two month-end statements for November from both Pershing and Comerica Financial Advisors, powered by Ameriprise Financial. 

You’ll also receive year-end statements from both Pershing and Comerica Financial Advisors, powered by Ameriprise Financial.

My Accounts

The financial conversion for the on-platform assets automatically transferred the weekend of Nov. 4. The financial advisors and sales assistants have access to your accounts beginning Monday, Nov. 6, to continue to service you.

Please note: Any accounts held with an annuity carrier and/or mutual fund company direct typically take longer to process through a bulk broker-dealer change. Please reach out to your Financial Advisor if you have any questions.

Yes. While your account numbers have changed, the structure of your relationship remains the same. Your primary Comerica Financial Advisors contact is here to help explain your new account numbering should you have any further questions.

No, your other accounts, such as your banking or savings account, have not been impacted.

Standing bank instructions will not automatically transfer to Ameriprise. Starting Nov. 6, you can work with your Financial Advisor to sign required forms that allow us to authorize the instructions on file.

Client Secure Site and Mobile App

The client secure site provides a consolidated view of Ameriprise Financial accounts and allows your to track progress toward your goals, view your portfolio and securely collaborate with your advisor. It offers access to online trading, including convenient market data snapshots, expert research, quotes and company information.

If you have an email on file with us, follow the instructions in the Welcome email from Comerica Financial Advisors on Nov. 6.

Otherwise, you can go to ameriprise.com/secure/register and if you have any questions, your advisor is here to help.

For entity accounts, authorized parties will need to be validated prior to the registration email being sent.  You can work directly with your financial advisor to do this.

Ameriprise Financial Planning Team

As of Nov. 6, your accounts are supported by the Ameriprise Financial Planning Team, a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC.

You’ll receive a "Welcome" email from Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC with a link to create your secure site login.

Your team will take the time to get to know you, understand your financial priorities and identify clear strategies to help you achieve your goals and prepare for your financial future.

You’ll have access to:

  • A team of financial professionals who offer personalized advice and solutions aligned to your goals
  • Online goal tracking capabilities that help you plan and accomplish your goals
  • Specialists who are equipped to handle your more complex financial needs
  • Personalized service online and over the phone
